Veterinarian
Dr Kirsty Hart is an experienced senior small animal veterinarian with over 8 years of clinical experience and a postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) in Internal Medicine from the University of Liverpool. Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, particularly in managing complex medical cases including endocrine, gastrointestinal and cardiorespiratory disorders.
Dr Kirsty graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Bristol in 2017. Following her graduation, she pursued further studies, earning a Masters in Global Wildlife Health and Conservation with Distinction in 2015. This passion for wildlife conservation led her to gain experience in general practice before advancing her career with a focus on internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. Her skills in abdominal ultrasound, thoracic radiography, emergency care, and soft tissue surgery make her a well-rounded veterinary professional.
Before relocating to Sydney, Kirsty spent five years as a senior veterinarian at a busy London practice. She then served as the Head Veterinarian at Sylvania Veterinary Hospital in Sydney, where she provided clinical oversight, mentored junior team members, and ensured high standards of care across the clinic. During her time at Sylvania, Kirsty also participated in the Clinical Leaders Course, furthering her leadership and mentoring abilities.
Kirsty has a strong interest in internal medicine, feline medicine and geriatric care, with a particular focus on palliative support and pain management. She is dedicated to ensuring that her patients enjoy the best possible quality of life at every stage, forming strong bonds with both her patients and their families. Her exceptional ability to communicate and build trust with clients ensures they feel well-informed and supported throughout their pet’s life journey.
Outside of her veterinary practice, Kirsty is an avid traveller and qualified scuba diver, eager to explore Australia’s unique wildlife both on land and in the sea! A passionate “foodie,” she loves discovering new cuisines and culinary experiences. Kirsty is also a fan of musicals, theatre, and enjoys unwinding with a good book. She is excited to bring her extensive clinical skills, leadership, and passion for high-quality patient care to the Turramurra Veterinary Hospital team.
