Veterinarian

Dr Deepa Narula is a highly experienced veterinarian with strong local roots and a genuine passion for combining science, compassion and clinical excellence. Growing up in Turramurra, Deepa attended Pymble Public School before completing high school at St Ives High School. Being part of the North Shore community has always shaped who she is, and no matter where her career has taken her, this area has remained home.

Deepa graduated from the University of Sydney with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2015. She began her career in Adelaide, working in a busy hospital environment for four years, before moving to the UK in 2019. There, she locummed and travelled before taking on senior roles within 24-hour hospitals. From 2020 to 2024, Deepa worked as a Senior Veterinary Surgeon in Surrey, England, and she currently holds the position of Lead Veterinary Surgeon at a 24-hour hospital in South London, England.

Deepa has a particular passion for soft tissue surgery and has completed her Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. She enjoys abdominal surgery, endoscopy, wound management, ultrasounds, dentistry and managing challenging cases in-house. She also has a strong interest in palliative care, supporting pets and their families to achieve the best possible quality of life in their later years.

Known for her optimistic, bubbly personality, Deepa loves teaching, mentoring and motivating others to be their best. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling the world, road trips and experiencing different cultures and traditions.
