Product Details
The Tick Twister enables the safe and easy removal of ticks attached to the skin of dogs, cats and horses (and humans). This unique tool removes the parasite without leaving the mouth-parts of the tick embedded in the skin and without compressing the tick’s abdomen. The process is painless and takes only a few seconds.
General Instructions
The Tick Twister comes in a pack of 2 Twisters for removing various sized ticks.
Directions for use:
- Select the correct sized tool according to the size of the tick – the large hook for medium and large ticks or the small hook for small and very small ticks.
- Hold the handle end of the tick twister between your thumb and index finger and gently slide the fork end of the twister toward the tick until it is held between the prongs.
- Gently lift the tool a little and rotate in either direction for two or three turns. You will detect when the tick has released its mouth-parts and it is safe to pull up on the tick with the tool.
- It is important that you twist and not pull on the tick, until the tick detaches.
