Keeping Our Pets Safe In The Holidays
Happy Easter to all our wonderful clients! The lead up to the Easter holiday period has certainly brought forth wild and windy conditions and our thoughts are with those in the flood prone locations. This is such a wonderful time of the year with family and their pets however, we all need to be aware of the dangers that may arise for our furry friends.
Easter Can Be A Dangerous Time For Our Pets
With households filled with lots of delicious treats over Easter, we need to keep a close eye on our pets.
- Chocolate can cause vomiting, diarrhoea and even death in high doses, its best avoided for cats and dogs.
- Hot cross buns or anything containing sultanas, raisins etc.
- Sugar free xylitol treats.
- Alcohol.
- Easter lilies.
If you are worried your pet has consumed something they shouldn’t have please don’t hesitate to contact us or NEVS on 9452 2933
New technology at TVH
We are excited to be the third clinic in NSW and eighth in Australia to introduce the Vet Scan Imagyst. A breakthrough technology used to identify intestinal parasites. To be able to do this test within our own laboratory means fast results! This helps us diagnose parasite burdens quicker and allow our vets to provide accurate treatment.
So far we have identified hookworm and giardia which were making the two puppies involved very sick. Once diagnosed we were about to give medical treatment and the puppies were on the mend.
Grooming Update
Due to refurbishment our groomers will no longer have the work space required and as a result we are no longer take grooming appointments from 20th May. The grooming team are fully booked up to the 20th May. To ensure your fury friends are kept beautiful over the Winter don’t forget to make a booking with other local grooming services.
Easter Opening Hours
We will be here every day with the exception of Easter Sunday to help your fury friends shall they need us.
If you are going away over the break & leaving your pets with a house sitter or pet minder feel free to fill out the form below which lodges your details with us in case your pet requires medical attention while you are away.
