Dr James Thompson BVSc (U Syd), MACVSc (Surgery), CMAVA.

20+ Years Experience

 

James was raised locally, and attended Pymble Public School, then Knox Grammar. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992, then worked in England and Wales, Scone (NSW) and North Shore Veterinary Hospital at Crows Nest. He has completed further training in Ophthalmology and Emergency Medicine and attended orthopedics conferences in Davos, Switzerland and Sydney. James completed his Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Surgery in 2004 and has assisted teaching surgery to vet students at the University of Sydney. In 2011, James commences his studies for a Masters degree. He has undertaken voluntary animal welfare work in Bali and Africa. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, surfing and wildlife photography.

 

 
 

Dr Anne Jones

Anne grew up on a sheep and cattle property near Warren in central western New South Wales. She attended boarding school in Sydney before graduating from Sydney University in 1985. Anne worked in small animal practice in Sydney for many years, mainly on the north shore and northern beaches. After marrying, she travelled and started a family but continued working part time. She and her husband have two children and a Charlie, a Jack Russell Terrier. Anne lives locally and regularly attends veterinary rounds and seminars discussing the latest veterinary techniques.

 
 

Dr Glenn Tuffley

 

 

Dr Elena Tuffley BVSc (U Syd).

20+ Years Experience

 

Elena grew up locally in Turramurra, and attended Abbotsleigh. She graduated in 1990 and spent three years working in London, travelling to Europe and attending veterinary conferences in the UK, USA and China. On her return Elena settled into a North Shore practice for eight years as senior veterinarian. She stepped back from practice for a while to care for her three young children, but is enjoying working with animals other than children again and getting to know the friendly Turramurra clientele. The latest addition to Elena's family is her pet labrador, Scout.

 
 

Dr Pip Wines

 

 

Dr Philippa 'Pip' Wines BVSc (U Syd).

14 Years Experience

 

Pip grew up in Killara. After graduating in 1997 she worked in Sydney for 4 years then London for 4 years, taking the opportunity to travel in Italy, Croatia and Greece. Pip has undertaken further training in surgery. She particularly loves seeing young children being involved in the care of their pets. Pip and her husband have four young children, a Border Collie, Sady, and a cat, Stopit.

 
 

Dr Rita Alitalo

Originally from Perth, Rita Alitalo is a graduate from Western Australia's Murdoch University. Rita has previously worked in Perth, Victoria and the United Kingdom. Rita and her husband are the proud parents of three bouncing young boys and a water mad Golden Retriever named Ricki. Rita's special veterinary interests are in dermatology and endocrinology. Outside of work, her greatest pleasures are baking and travel.

Katie has been working with animals for the past 5 years. A graduate of a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, Katie is responsible for our puppy training as well as the training of adolescent dogs (at St Ives Showground). Katie is highly knowledgeable about canine behavioural issues. Among Katie's hobbies are skydiving, camping, travel and soccer. Katie has one dog and two cats. Katie recently married her long time time boyfriend Vatche and they enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in New Zealand.
